The Odyssey Preparatory Academy, Goodyear Campus, is selling engraved bricks in a fundraising effort to provide an outdoor learning classroom for their scholars.
Research has shown that children’s learning and retention of information are increased when they have time to be out in nature. Part of the outdoor classroom will contain seating areas where students will engage in dialogue with one another and their teacher as they read, solve math problems, and conduct science experiments. The world theme is aligned with the International Baccalaureate Program. Students are taught critical thinking skills as they learn about the global markets and cultures. We will be using the same company that installed the legacy bricks by The Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.
